At last Eric is back (even though it is the last day). Took Michelle out to try planing and beach starts at 2pm and the wind just got stronger and stronger. After my duties where fulfilled I quickly grabbed a Style 250 and a Superstar 5.3 and went out for a blast. The gusts off the mountain were vicious making it quite scary going for anything when you're hairing along out of control.

Changed down to a Superstar 4.7 and a Goya FW85 and, though still over powered in the gusts, gained a bit more control.

The loopers were still determined and launching themselves into oblivion on mosts runs toward the shore for the benefit of us watching in the shallows. It was during one of these rests in the shallows that Puzzle (from Isreal on the Boards forum) lost control of his rig in a gust only for it to catch me across my head. That wasn't enough to deter me so I went back out for a few more blasts.

I was eventually brought to a halt by a wipe out during a 360 on the inside when a gust overpowered my spent arms and dragged me out of the straps over the front skinning my right foot on the deck grip. Don't believe it when they say that hire boards have no grip left!

An excellent last day.
